On the 7th and 8th of July 2014, UNSW will celebrate the relaunch of the Satellite Navigation and Positioning (SNAP) Laboratory by hosting the “GNSS Futures” workshop.

Keynote speakers Prof. Dorota Grejner-Brzezinska from Ohio State University and Prof Penny Axelrad from the University of Colorado will lead discussions examining where GNSS, and positioning/navigation technology in general, is headed in the coming decade. There will be a number of speakers (full program here [pdf]) in addition to the two keynotes mentioned above.

The workshop provides an opportunity to hear about GNSS developments of particular relevance to Australia and the Asia-Pacific region, to participate in discussion and debate our “GNSS Futures”, and to celebrate the achievements of the SNAP group.

The event is free, and will be run over an afternoon session and an evening social event on 7 July, followed by a morning session on 8 July.

Registration for the workshop is available on the GNSS Futures Workshop website.
