A set of 11 Western Australian businesses, projects and individuals were recognised at the SIBA-GITA awards on October 13, 2017.

Five businesses and six individuals were awarded at the event, run by the Spatial Industries Business Association (SIBA | GITA), and the Surveying and Spatial Sciences Institute (SSSI).  SIBA|GITA CEO Deanna Hutchinson said that the calibre of entries speaks volumes about the West Australian spatial industry.

“Many people don’t understand that spatial is ‘technology in place.’ It is a valuable business planning tool, infrastructure development tool and has huge impacts on the way Australians live their lives,” she said.
